DAY 1: DELHI (ARRIVAL)
Upon arrival at the New Delhi you will be transferred to the hotel. Check into hotel and relax. Spend rest of the day at leisure. Overnight stay at hotel.

DAY 2: DELHI
After breakfast, set out on a sightseeing tour of Delhi city. You’ll first go for Old Delhi sightseeing, starting with Jama Masjid, the country's largest mosque, built in 1656. The mosque's courtyard is capable of holding 25,000 devotees at once. Next, visit Old Delhi’s oldest and biggest market Chandni Chowk. Later, enjoy a rickshaw ride from Fatehpuri Masjid to the impressive red sandstone monument of Red Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Here, our driver will pick you up and drive you to Raj Ghat, the cremation site of Mahatma Gandhi - Father of the Nation. Afterward, proceed to Humayun’s Tomb (a UNESCO World Heritage Site), an early example of fine Mughal architecture in India, built in 1565. Humayun's Tomb is often said to be the inspiration behind the Taj Mahal.

Later, take a sightseeing tour of New Delhi and drive past Rashtrapati Bhawan (President’s House), Parliament House, and India Gate - a war memorial constructed in memory of 70,000 Indian soldiers who fought in World War I. Lastly, visit Qutub Minar (a UNESCO World Heritage Site), a soaring tower of victory. Its construction was commenced in 1193 under the supervision of Islamic ruler Qutub-ud-din-Aibak, immediately after the defeat of the last Hindu Kingdom in Delhi. The marble and red sandstone built structure is nearly 73 meters tall and tapers from a 15-meter-diameter base to just 2.5 meters at the top.

DAY 3: NEW DELHI - JAIPUR (260KM/5-6 HRS APPROX)
After breakfast at hotel, drive to Jaipur. Upon arrival, check-in at the hotel. Jaipur: Jaipur is a city where pink sandstone is used at a big scale and this is why, it is called the Pink City of India. Its vibrant bazaars display beautiful handicrafts and jewellery adds to its charm. Also, it is a perfect place to witness the flamboyance lifestyle of the Rajput dynasty since here the past comes alive through its magnificent forts and palaces, where once lived the Maharajas. On reaching Jaipur, check-in at the hotel. Day free at leisure. Overnight stay at hotel in Jaipur.

DAY 4: JAIPUR
Morning after breakfast, set off for a day of exploration in Jaipur and ride to the top of the hilltop fortress - the Amber Fort (a UNESCO World Heritage Site) on an elephant’s back. Get to know the dramatic grandeur of the fort perched on the Aravalli Hills and surrounded by fortified battlements. Then, pay a visit to the Hawa Mahal or Palace of the Winds, the five storied structure featuring 953 small windows called jharokhas, decorated with intricate latticework. Made using red sandstone, the towering structure resembles a honeycomb and was initially built to allow the royal ladies to peer down without being seen. Next, visit the City Palace. Built in the 18th century, the City Palace is a perfect exemplar of the Rajasthani and Mughal architectural styles and fortified walls, built for protection from invading armies. Also, visit the Jantar Mantar Observatory (a UNESCO World Heritage Site), an astronomy site which was built by Maharaja Jai Singh II of Jaipur in the 18th century with 13 architectural astronomy instruments. Overnight stay at hotel.

DAY 5: JAIPUR-AGRA EN-ROUTE VISITING FATEHPUR SIKRI (245 KMS 6/7 HRS)
After breakfast, you’ll be transferred to Agra via Fatehpur Sikri (a UNESCO World Heritage Site). Built in the 16th century, this ancient fortified city was once the capital of the Mughal Empire. The complex includes Diwan-i-Khas building, which has a beautifully carved pillar at its centre and the Panch Mahal Palace. Upon arrival in Agra, check into your hotel and relax. Overnight stay at hotel.

DAY 6: AGRA-DELHI (APPROX. 205 KMS 3/4 HRS DRIVE)
Early morning visit to the Taj Mahal - the UNESCO World Heritage Site and perhaps the world’s most photographed monument, which was commissioned in the 17th century by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his loving wife. Then, visit the massive Agra Fort (a UNESCO World Heritage Site), an elegant building that reflects a perfect fusion of the Hindu and Central Asian architectural styles with massive courtyards, mosques & private chambers. Continue your drive to Delhi. Upon arrival in Delhi, check-in at hotel and relax. Overnight stay at hotel.

DAY 7: DELHI - AMRITSAR BY TRAIN AMRITSAR SHATABDI (16.30/22.30 HRS)
Breakfast at the hotel and later at noon you will be transferred to railway station to board train to Amritsar. The word Amritsar literally means “Pool of Nectar”. It was founded in 1579 by Guru Ram Das, the fourth Guru of the Sikh religion who settled down beside a pool bequeathed with miraculous healing powers. His son, Guru Arjun Dev, built the temple within the pool. Later, Maharaja Ranjit Singh encrusted it with pure gold leaf.

DAY 08: AMRITSAR SIGHTSEEING
After breakfast, proceed for sightseeing tour of Amritsar. Firstly, visit the Golden Temple located in the heart of the city. Characterized by its entrance doors (called deoris) in all four directions and elegance in terms of art and architecture, the Golden Temple is open to everyone. The stunning sanctum with its intricate works in gold sparkling in the water of the holy tank, flanked by spotless marble walkways and pavements makes a breathtakingly beautiful sight. Spend ample amount of your time inside the temple and enjoy witnessing the prayer ceremony held on various occasions during the day time. Next, visit the Jallianwala Bagh. It is a memorial that marks the tragic event of Amritsar Massacre in the year 1919. In the evening, head to the Wagah Border for the Wagah Border Ceremony, also known as the Beating Retreat Ceremony. The border runs along the Grand Trunk Road between Amritsar (India)and Lahore (Pakistan).

Here you will see the daily ceremony, carried out with great pomp, where the Indian border guards and Pakistani border guards march towards each other and exchange a brusque handshake and both their national flags are lowered simultaneously while thousands of visitors wave out their national flags. It is a proud moment of pride and patriotism for both the countries. Overnight in Amritsar.

DAY 09: AMRITSAR DEPARTURE
After breakfast, we will transfer you to the airport for your onward journey. Hope you had a pleasant time exploring with us.
